We got to sing out at the Baptist Home in Ozark last night, and it was great! My Grandma and Grandpa and Ginny came out with us...
There was already a lady there waiting for us when we got in the room that we sing in there! Ha ha, she's a really nice lady.

Palmer Heights Missionary Baptist January 17, 2010

Brother Larry Norris invited us a couple weeks ago to sing at their church...but they had to cancel church...(too cold, snowy, icy)...so, he invited us back the next week...same (too cold, snowy, icy)...so he invited us back Today! Yay! Lol, we finally got to sing at their church again! They are really great people, the Pastor, wife and congregation. We sang a few songs in the morning service. Brother Norris is a funny guy, ornery I might add! Ha ha...

Carthage Monthly Singing JANUARY 1, 2010!

Woah...it seems so weird to already be in 2010 doesn't it? I know I'm just 18, but, the saying is true, the older you get, the faster time goes!
We had a brilliant time with The LeCroy Sisters and Canaan Bound this past Carthage singing! And what do you know, John and Wilma Hile (from The Revelators) show up to listen too! It was fun talking to them afterwards too!

Baptist Home in Ozark December 22, 2009

The last concert for 2009...WOW! Can you believe it's already 2010?!
This was also the last time for CHRISTmas music for 2009!
When we got there...no really anyone was there, but with each song we sang it seemed like, somebody would come in, in the end, there were several people!

Jordan Creek Nursing Home December 20, 2009

This was the second time we've sung at this nursing home. A few people from the church we go to (Baptist Temple in Springfield) put together this ministry at this nursing home, so they've invited us to come and sing a couple times so far...
I like singing here, this is where my Grandma Penick lives, and it's always good to see her.

Joy Assisted Living December 15, 2009

Close to the last time for 2009 to sing Christmas songs...at the nursing homes. We had 2 more times, but it was all OK! I know, we only sing at 4 nursing homes, one for each Tuesday, and Joy Assisted is the 3rd. BUT, we sang at a nursing home on a Sunday too, but you can read about that in the next blog! :)
So, Joy Assisted Living was good to sing at, and Lord-willing, we'll be singing there again in about a week.

Fair Grove Fundraiser December 12, 2009

We sang at a fundraiser in Fair Grove, at a school there...a fundraiser for a little 1 year old girl. She's been having health issues, very sad. We really need to pray for her and her family. The Mother of the girl is pregnant too...stressful times! I don't know exactly what they're going through right now...(literally, I'm not really sure what the illness is), but I can understand it can be very hard...(Understatement). So please be praying for them all.

I love to sing to these people each month that we get to come out and sing to them. (Each 2ND Tuesday of the month.) Linda Henson is the one who’s (I think so anyway) in charge of the activities room, where we sing each time we’re there. So thank you Linda! :)

GPG December 5, 2009

As I said previously...on the last GPG blog (the one for November)...this is a special weekend for the most part each time we go to Branson. You may realize (and yet, you may not, here, I'm pointing it out anyway) that we weren't in Branson on the Friday as well as Saturday...that we were in Carthage on Friday instead...yes. They had to move the Branson singing up 2-3 weeks in November and December (like they do every year) because of all the holidays at the ends of these months...(Thanksgiving, CHRISTmas, New Years...). So with that said, it also fell on the same weekend as another monthly singing we do...(Carthage, as it does each year). So, needless to say, we didn't get to make it to the Friday night singing in Branson (but we still had a GREAT time in Carthage...which you should be able to read either in the last or next blog)!
BACK to GPG Saturday night! Ha ha. It was really good to be with them again, with my Grandma and Grandpa too, they about always come to it.

Carthage Monthly singing December 4, 2009

Awesome! That pretty much sums up the night! Awesome, blessed, fun!
All the artists sat on stage (well, unless they were singing, then they were standing)...during the whole concert (except during the break). It was kind of like the Praise Gathering...except different people and different location! Ha ha.
The artists who sang that night (other than us) were The Revelators, Ninth Hour, and course Canaan Bound! All were fantastic! This had to be about the best I'd heard any of these groups at the time!
We each sang a couple non Christmas songs, and then we took a break. Then after the break we each sang 4 Christmas songs...
It was simply awesome that night.

Christian Healthcare East December 1, 2009

My Grandpa was here for a while after he had his hip or knee surgery (can't remember for sure which), before we started singing there each first Tuesday of the month. So, I'd been there several times before we started singing there...so it's neat singing there.
Like I previously have said, we go to this nursing home each first (1st) Tuesday of the month...
This was also the FIRST time we sang our Christmas carols...I'm not sure how we were that first time, but I believe we got a tad better each time we sang them...or at least I HOPE so! Ha ha.
To be "Perfectly Honest," other than for school choir and that kind of thing, (me personally, not mom and George), I believe this was the first time to actually sing Christmas songs in front of people...where people could actually hear me singing them! I think Christmas songs were specifically made for sopranos...(I'm not really a soprano, but I got it!)

Galena Cowboy Church November 22, 2009

I really like Brother Paul Jones and his wife! I met them through the GPG (Mom and George met them through CGMA) and I really enjoy talking to them and all. They have an AMAZING house, which is where the Cowboy church is each week...It was good to meet the people that go to their Cowboy Church, and good to sing for them too! :)

CrossRoads Baptist Church November 15, 2009

Willow Springs Freewill Baptist November 15, 2009

This was the morning service for that day. Brother Duane Crewse is the pastor of the church, what a good church. George's former mother-in-law (his wife's...who died...mom) and her guy went to the church too, and so we went to their house afterwards and got some really good chicken, beans, bread...all that kind of stuff! It was really good! :)

GPG November 13-14, 2009

This weekend is one of the highlights for us each month as we get to go down to sing and fellowship with family and friends! The Branson group is such a blessing to be around. There's always fun, laughter, some crying, singing, eating (lol), and just a great time!
Friday night is always like a Gaither's gathering kind of like with all the singers in front of the rest of the audience like a choir (sitting for the most part though) and then whoever the next artist is, they come to the front of the group and sing...
Saturday's is a little different. Saturday's, starting at 3, (I believe), we have a songwriter's showcase. That's exactly what it's titled, it's a program where songwriter's sing songs that THEY have written...then...we EAT! Ha ha. I have never ONCE had something bad to eat that they made! It's only $5 per person, and that's for your whole meal, whatever you want (whatever they have that day) and dessert and drink...it's a really good deal, especially when the food is as good as it always is!

Rose Hill Baptist November 11, 2009

It was good getting to see Brother and Mrs. Dennis and Rena Metzger! They had a great crowd...attendance that morning and it was just great getting to sing for them!
We were there for the Sunday school (we sang for the church service) too so I went with the younger ones and they were interesting people! Lol. It's always fun getting to see and meet new people, no matter how shy or reserved I may seem, I for the most part really do enjoy meeting new people!

Cherry Street Fish Fry November 7, 2009

Oh, my Grandma and Grandpa go to Cherry Street (Baptist Church) and their Sunday school has a annual Fish Fry (Delicious fish by the way too) and they invited us to come and sing (well, actually Brother John Page did) for it! We had a GREAT time there! When I lived with my Grandma and Grandpa I went to church with them there, and most Sundays I went to Sunday school with them (I'm more of the shy type person, especially with my own age group) so I got to know most of the people there in those couple years or so! I love it at Cherry Street! :)

Carthage Monthly Singing November 6, 2009

We had a Great time with "Canaan Bound and Friends" in November! We sang, and obviously so did Canaan Bound (ha ha). The guest artists for November (if I remember correctly, sorry, didn't write everything down) were Ninth Hour and Duke Mason! They were Awesome as always!

Bill Burns Store in Eufala, OK October 31, 2009

Hey! I'm back! Ha ha.
We had a really great time with these folks singing and all! There were several other great singers that sang that night. We sang several songs too. We ate some really good food that Bill Burns's wife and a few other ladies that go there (to that singing) brought.
It was really fin singing to the people and everything! :)
