THE LESTERS October 26th, 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They were AMAZING!! OK, I know I say that on just about all my blogs about going to see a Southern Gospel group, but it's SO TRUE!!!! I'd seen The Lesters prior to last night, but all of them had other groups singing as well! So last night was the first time I'd actually seen them and ONLY them in a CONCERT/Church setting! And I was VERY Impressed! Brian Lester, such a bubbly, sweet guy! Jonathan (sp?) Lester, a very smooth singer, Very good singer! Ginger Pitchers (sp?), Brian's sister, amazing vocals, love to hear her sing! and Jenny Revelle (sp?, yeah, I need to learn to spell), Ginger's daughter (and Jenny's 2 little girls came up and sang as well! They're so cute!), sings Beautifully! So...if you EVER get the chance to see The Lesters...PLEASE DO IT!!!! You will NOT be disappointed!
Well, I'd better get going! My Mom's telling me we need to go! Got some chili cooking, going to make some mac 'n cheese...having Jayla and David over because he's going to help do something at the house!

Love y'all!

Crane, Missouri 10/17/08

We had yet ANOTHER great night at our monthly Crane singing! Of course we sang a few songs, and Sharron Bennett was able to be there this month again as well! Please continue to pray for her, as she is trying to get over her Bronchitis. She was only able to sing a couple of songs...
Our newly friend, Tonya LaDawna was there again this month too! And she just keeps on getting BETTER! Our "special guest group" this month was the Peters Family! It was only the second time I've gotten to see them, and the other time we were at the KWFC table (Crane Broiler Festival), so...we didn't get to hear them too much, but they were really good! But this time we got to really hear them and they were GREAT!!
I hope you all are able to be there in December, because we won't have one in November (too close to Thanksgiving)! The third Friday in December Brian Arnold is going to be there (Lord-willing)! He used to have Chosen Few, he's a songwriter/singer/pianist, and he was there a few months ago! I hope you all come out and join us!

Hope you all have a blessed and safe day!

Carthage 10/3/08

This month we had a great time with some dear friends, Canaan Bound, Anita French Kidd, and Bill Burns! I believe this was actually Anita's first time to be at this singing, but we've known each other for a few years! Bill Burns is one of the more usual, not JUST a usual, though, don't get me wrong on that! He's loved over there, and people just love to hear him and his songs! And he lives not TOO far away, so...
And of course Canaan Bound, which is the host group, and we're always there, poor guys...no, I'm just kidding! We always such a good time over/down (where ever) there with all of them!

Well, I must be heading off...

Hope you all have a safe and blessed day!

CHATEAU ON THE LAKE~In Branson~9/28/08 (Excuse Me)

Well, another year's going right along, and the banquet is...past. But, we'll have our many wonderful memories of this year's banquet! We had a GREAT time, and we even got 1st runner up on trio of the year! George got the OZARK SPIRIT AWARD! Congratulations George! And we had many people in whom you'd probably know who they are there! Ones like Pretty Miss Norma Jean, Terry Sanders (who does impersonations of famous people like Joan Rivers), MO-TOWN, Gary S. Paxton, Charles Brady, The Bryants...oh, wait, no, maybe not them, lol.
(But I think you get my point, sorry, I'm getting a little tired right now, please do excuse me not being able to really think right now!)
Anyway...there was so much laughter and crying and singing and fellowship...I can't even begin to tell you how AMAZING it was, you'll just have to come for yourself! Such nice outfits, dresses, tuxedos, all that good stuff! (It was a black-tie event.)

I hope you all have a safe and blessed day!

Special concert 9/27/08~Branson event

To Begin with, the concert started with this amazing group, called...uh, let's see, um...oh yeah...MO-TOWN! Even though they didn't necessarily sing Gospel music, it was still very entertaining and exhilarating! They only sang about 5 songs...one right after another, no stops! But still, it was great!
After that, we started our program, which that night, instead of all the songwriters who usually sing their songs, they had the 4 (actually 5, but 2 of them co-write with each other) songwriters of the year sing a couple each of their songs. They were Randy Plummer, Bill Burns, Julie ReneƩ, and Sally Niner along with Judy Morse.
And then after that, we had a special little concert with Charles Brady, Gary S. Paxton, and James Garrett (who has a show in Branson). It was just an amazing night all in all!

Well, I hope you all have a safe and blessed day!

Charles Brady and Gary S. Paxton 9/27/08 (And thanks)

Hey everyone! So good to see that you have an opportunity to read this blog, ONCE MORE! Ha ha! I'd just like to thank you all for reading this blog, from week to week (or month to month, year to year, whatever the case is!) Anywho, thanks! George has been really getting on to me to keep these things up to date, and I always seem to forget somehow...but I always manage to get them on here, so don't worry, I'll get them up whenever I can!

To the main reason for this particular blog...Charles Brady and Gary S. Paxton! Now, for those of you who do not know who either of them are...
Charles Brady has the Radio-active airplay on the Internet for DJ's who want to download certain songs on there and maybe even play them on their radio!
Gary S. Paxton...oh, how do I sum HIM up in just a couple of sentences (or even just a couple of paragraphs)?! But, I'll do my very best! Lol. OK, I'm just going to start off with...he wrote a song, don't know if you've ever heard it or not...(if you haven't, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?), by the title of "He Was There All the Time," and he's written a WHOLE bunch more that George didn't want me to tell you...I guess you'll just have to look him up if you want to learn more about him (and trust me, there's a WHOLE LOT to learn!)

Well, on the Saturday after the Praise Gathering on Friday, instead of our usual "routine" of songwriters showcase and all, them two that I told about told us all sorts of things as songwriters/singers, both, to help us with how to write songs, stuff about publishing, how to get them out and how to get yourself out, (because music is still a business), and all SORTS of really good information! They also had a time for those of us singers/songwriters who wanted to ask any questions!
It was a neat experience to learn all that information, even though I already knew most of it from George! But I'm sure I did learn some things...I hope!

Well, anyway, I hope you all have a SAFE and BLESSED day!

PRAISE GATHERING SEPTEMBER OF '08

WOW! Seriously, what else really is there to say?! This night...started off fantastic and ended Splendid! The night was FILLED with love and laughter and singing and crying and...oh, it was just AMAZING! There were so many talented and gifted people there, we didn't mind only singing one song, (of course we never do, we just love being there with our friends, who are JUST LIKE FAMILY!) There were regulars, but there were also a LOT of new people! We hope to grow even MORE (attendance-wise)!! My Grandma and Grandpa were able to come again this time, and they loved it! My Grandpa even commented that everyone treated them like family! Just a couple from the audience, and they were treated like family! Now THAT'S a good testimony! A few more of the guests included: Gary S. Paxton (wrote "He Was There All the Time" and MANY more!) and his wife, Charles Brady and his wife (has the Radio-active Airplay on the Internet), Randy Plummer (part of the original Plummers singing group in Branson), Julie ReneƩ (an amazing singer/songwriter, she also won songwriter of the year, song of the year, female singer of the year, and others! SOOO glad she didn't give up!), Bill Burns (writer of MANY Hoppers songs such as "That's Him" and "It's Time To Sing," along with JD Sumner's theme song, wrote FOR him, "The Lord Still Lives In this Old House" and MANY more songs), and many, many more people!

We won't be able to be there as of now, but if you are able to go October 24-25, 2008, at the Denny's Restaurant in Branson, Missouri. The Friday night Praise Gathering starts at 7:00 PM, and the Saturday afternoon songwriter's showcase starts at 3:30 PM (I believe) and the mixed night on Saturday starts at 7:00 PM. The reason they're going to be at Denny's this month (and only this month) is because the Branson Garden Inn, where it's usually held at, closed down. Next month, as set to be permanent, we'll have to tell you all later, sorry.
~*HOPE Y'ALL CAN COME AND JOIN THEM THIS MONTH!!*~

~*FREE*~ (love offering always received)

Hope you all have a great and BLESSED day!
